Job Description - Community Lead

Most people spend their lives avoiding conversations about death.
We built a charity around having them and we believe that changes everything.

At The Life Review, we create spaces where people can talk openly about death, dying, and grief — with honesty, compassion and courage. Our programs equip caregivers, seniors, and students across Singapore with the confidence to face life's greatest uncertainty, and to live more fully because of it.

This isn't just a job.

It's an invitation to live authentically, love your work and leave a legacy that outlasts any job title.

We're a small, passionate team doing work that most people hesitate to consider. Every program we run, every conversation we unlock, every person who walks away with a little more peace, that's the difference you'll be part of making.

If you believe that better conversations lead to better lives. If you want your actions to count for something in this world. If you're ready to bring your whole self to something that truly matters…

We would love to meet you. 💚

As Community Lead, you will build and nurture peer communities that help people navigate grief, identity, and life transitions with greater connection, purpose, and belonging. This is meaningful, relationship-centred work that sits at the intersection of community, wellbeing, and social impact.

This role is for someone who is part community builder, part facilitator, and a deep listener. You are energised by bringing people together, creating spaces where meaningful connections can flourish, and uncovering the stories that reveal how community shapes people's lives.

Key Responsibilities

  • Recruit, build, and sustain engaged peer communities.

  • Facilitate group sessions and support specialist workshops.

  • Foster trust, connection, and mutual support among members.

  • Document community journeys and capture stories and reflections.

  • Implement evaluation frameworks and communicate social impact.

Required Skills & Attributes

Community builder: Skilled at creating belonging, building relationships, and sustaining engagement over time.

Facilitator at heart: Confident and empathetic in guiding group conversations and navigating sensitive topics.

Deep listener: Builds trust, asks thoughtful questions, and uncovers the stories and insights

Impact-driven: Understands how to measure what matters and translate lived experiences into learnings, evidence, and impact.

Adaptable: Open to learning and growth in a start-up environment.

Qualifications & Experience

  • Diploma or degree in social sciences, community development, pastoral care, public health or a related field

  • At least 3 years of experience working in the community with seniors or caregivers

  • Strong communication skills and experience with programme documentation or impact reporting.

  • Genuine belief in the importance of normalising death, dying and grief in Singapore
