Contracts Engineer

Job Responsibilities: 

• Handle full spectrum of respective subcontracting works, claims and measurement/ bill of quantities 
• Prepares tender document, checklist, bid evaluation and summary
• Ensures main contract terms, project specification and requirements are incorporated in the bid documents and subcontract document
• Procures all subcontracting work within budget and in accordance to comply financial guideline
• Organises kick off meeting and other ad-hoc meetings with subcontractors
• Handles insurance certificates from subcontractors
• Handles and maintains performance securities with subcontractors
• Manages day to day contractual correspondences with subcontracts including contractual letters preparation and tracking of incoming/outgoing letters
• Prepares progress claims to client on timely manner
• Monitors, reviews and checks subcontractor claims & invoice on timely manner, and coordination with internal cost control and finance department for payment processing
• Manages change order and variation claim from subcontractors and prepare change order/ variation order claim to client, and keeping track of all change orders
• Monitors subcontracting cost and ensure within allocated budget
• Subcontracts close out/settlement of contractual disputes related to subcontracts, final accounting, completion certificate, etc
• Participates in monthly cost review, if required
• Manages warranty and defect claims if any
• Participates in Project meetings, interface with cost control, procurement and others
• Performs any ad hoc assignment

Requirements:

• Diploma/Degree in Mechanical Engineering or Quantity Surveying. 
• 1-3 years of experience in contracts administration or quantity surveying. 
• Familiar with building construction is preferred.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills. 
• Good command of written skills.
