Corporate Banking Relationship Manager (China Desk)

My client, an Asian Bank, is currently searching for a Corporate Banking Relationship Manager (China Desk) to join their Singapore office.

Your new role
The primary purpose of the role is to serve as the liaison between the Bank and their customers, to establish a positive banking relationship with new and existing clients, and to serve their banking needs via the Bank's products and services.

Key Responsibilities:

• Execute the overall success and growth of the assigned portfolio by deepening relationships with existing clients and through the acquisition of new Chinese customers
• Continually partner with clients in order to fully understand their businesses, strategies and challenges, so as to proactively recommend an effective variety of financial products and services to help the customers succeed
• Promote the cross-selling of banking products to customers based on their banking needs, improve the Bank's wallet share with the clients, so as to accomplish the branch's growth targets
• Perform effective financial analysis and underwriting in the areas of credit, cash flow and collateral; structure and complete suitable business loans/ services to the clients; and to follow-up on client maintenance work post disbursement

What you'll need to succeed

• Degree holder with minimum 6-8 years of directly relevant working experience as a Coverage Banker covering Chinese clients
• Experience in building and maintaining effective relationships with customers and internal partners
• Good experience in commercial credit underwriting skills
• Meticulous and good problem-solving skills
• Strong prospecting, sales, negotiation and influencing skills
• Must have a strong ability to communicate in Mandarin to liaise with Chinese clients
