Crane Operator (Crawler)

Tasks and Responsibilities

• To operate crane in a safe manner and in compliance with WSH ACT.

• Comply with Supervisor and Foreman’s instructions and perform to achieve quality work safely, within the stipulated completion time.

• To attend risk assessment briefing before the start of work and adhere to the mentioned safe work procedures during the briefing.

• Ensure personal safety and safety of others. Follow rules and regulation and inspire others to do so.

• Understanding of job requirements before start work.

• Enquire with superior if in doubt & regarding of safety & quality issue.

• Strictly follow all steps in risk assessments and attend the RA briefing before commencement of work.

• Maintain good housekeeping at all times.

• Cooperate with other trade for sequential work flow and smoother job completion within given schedule.

• Contribute idea to improve working methods.

• Ensure tools & equipment are maintained & in good conditions.

• Working in compliance with the WSH Act

• Conduct routine checks on crane before, during and after operations

• Observe safe working procedures

• Report unsafe working conditions and work practices

• Reporting work related incidents/accidents

• 2 Years above with relevant working experience

• Crawler Crane Operator License  (Singapore Valid License)

• ITE above related  to Mechanical Engineering Discipline or equivalent

• Must have knowledge in lifting

• General knowledge of Ship.

• Experience in working on new building or repair vessels

• Familiar with shipyard safety rules and regulation and MOM requirements
