Job Description This role will be performing technical accounting and credit control management for Direct and Reinsurance classes of business, investigating and clearing legacy transactions.
Responsibilities Key Responsibilities - Review existing list of legacy cash receipts
- Perform chasers for cash collected from brokers for remittance advices and identify risks in system
- Allocation of receipts and payments for Syndicate
- Responsible for premiums collections by handling queries, monitor and expedite reconciliation of cash collected to transactions recorded, and preparation of credit control reports giving updates on collections for management review
- Assist Finance team with allocation of premiums collections by handling queries, monitor and expedite collection of brokers' outstanding balances, and preparation of credit control reports giving updates on collections for management review.
- To assist on internal and external reporting such as Management accounts
- Support management on any ad hoc duties
Qualifications Skills and Experience The candidate in this role will:
- Knowledge or experience in various Direct and Facultative Insurance classes of business would be advantageous.
- Knowledge in Lloyd's business and operations would be advantageous.
- Experience in accounts receivable and payable, bank reconciliations and cash accounting.
- Computer literate.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
- Experience with Subscribe policy administration system advantageous.
