Crewing Officer (Tanker Ships)

Basic information: 

• Monday to Thursday 9am to 6.30pm
  Fridays 9am to 6pm
• Basic UP $5000
• Location: North
• Bonus provided
• Office-based role, no travelling required

Job Scope:

• Support the crewing department in employment administration for seagoing personnel, including review of monthly crew payroll.
• Maintain updated vessel manning lists and closely monitor crew rotation schedules.
• Coordinate with manning agencies, vessel Masters, port agents, and travel agencies to ensure smooth crew changes, especially for vessels operating in foreign waters.
• Arrange crew travel logistics, including flight bookings through travel agencies.
• Process Flag State endorsements for officers prior to vessel deployment.
• Conduct pre-joining briefings and post-departure debriefings for officers when required.
• Verify and reconcile port disbursements related to crew changes from agents and agencies.
• Review and reconcile monthly vessel accounts prepared by Masters.
• Arrange and coordinate crew wage payments (CTM) as required.
• Assist in verifying crew benefits, including leave pay, bonuses, and allowances.
• Maintain and update crew personnel and training records, ensuring compliance with certification, medical, visa, and sea-time requirements.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Additional Information: 

• Diploma holder, with relevant experience in shipping industry
• A good team player with ability to multi task
• Good analytical skills, meticulous and organized
• Possess positive work attitude, good interpersonal and communication skills
• Proficient in MS Office
