Cybersecurity Engineering Lead

About the Role

The Cybersecurity Lead plays a critical role in strengthening and maintaining enterprise and customer-facing security environments. This role leads a team of cybersecurity professionals while overseeing vulnerability management, identity and access management (IAM), and cryptographic key management. The position ensures systems remain secure, compliant, and operationally stable, while providing clear visibility into overall security posture and risk.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead vulnerability assessments, including coordinating VAPT/WAPT activities, validating findings, and driving risk-based remediation

• Oversee IAM platforms, including authentication policies, SSO integration, certificate lifecycle management, and system availability

• Manage cryptographic key management systems, including key lifecycle (generation, rotation, archival, destruction) and secure integrations

• Act as a primary security point of contact for internal and external stakeholders, supporting audits, security questionnaires, and compliance reviews

• Monitor and report on security posture, including vulnerabilities, operational risks, and remediation progress through dashboards and reports

• Support security incident investigations, particularly those involving IAM and cryptographic components

• Maintain and enforce security governance, documentation, standards, and operational procedures

• Lead, mentor, and develop the cybersecurity team while aligning security initiatives with business objectives

Required Qualifications

• Proven experience in cybersecurity leadership, managing multiple security domains and workstreams

• Strong hands-on experience with vulnerability scanning tools (e.g., Nessus, Qualys, Rapid7, OpenVAS)

• Deep expertise in network, system, and application security principles

• Experience implementing and operating IAM platforms, including federation, SSO, and access control models

• Hands-on experience with key management systems and cryptographic practices such as PKI, TLS, and encryption

• Familiarity with Linux environments and troubleshooting production security systems

• Strong knowledge of security frameworks (e.g., ISO 27001, NIST, CIS) and experience supporting audits and compliance activities

Preferred Qualifications (Optional)

• Professional certifications such as CISSP, CISM, or CCSP

• Experience in regulated industries or government environments

• Exposure to cloud security and cloud-based key management integrations

• Experience working with enterprise IAM solutions such as IBM ISAM
