Data Engineer

Key Responsibilities:\n\n * Design, build, and maintain scalable, reliable data pipelines to support AI/ML models and analytics in global supply chain and planning operations.\n\n * Collaborate with data scientists and AI engineers to prepare and transform structured and unstructured data for modeling and simulation.\n\n * Develop and optimize ETL/ELT processes using tools like Databricks, Spark.\n\n * Ensure data quality, versioning, and lineage across the ML lifecycle.\n\n * Support the deployment and monitoring of AI models in production environments.\n\n * Translate business requirements into technical solutions, working closely with cross-functional teams.\n\n * Contribute to the development of data services and APIs that power intelligent decision-making tools.\n\n\n\n\nFunctional Knowledge\n\n * Masters Degree in Data Science, Computing, AI/ Analytics\n\n * 7-10 years of expertise in SQL, Python, and distributed data processing (e.g., Spark, PySpark).\n\n * Experience with cloud-based data platforms (Azure).\n\n * Experience with LLM and Agentic AI\n\n * Familiarity with MLOps tools and practices (e.g., MLflow) is a strong advantage.\n\n * Experience working with AI/ML frameworks (e.g., TensorFlow, PyTorch) or supporting model training and deployment is a strong advantage.\n\n * Understands the role of data in driving supply chain and planning decisions.\n\n * Able to align data engineering solutions with business KPIs and operational goals.\n\n * May lead technical workstreams or mentor other engineers.\n\n * Takes ownership of data infrastructure components and contributes to architectural planning.\n\n * Solves complex data challenges with creativity and precision.\n\n * Proactively identifies and resolves data quality, performance, and scalability issues.\n\n * Enables the success of AI/ML initiatives by ensuring robust, scalable, and high-quality data infrastructure.\n\n * Supports real-time and predictive decision-making across global operations\n\n * Communicates effectively with data scientists, AI engineers, and business stakeholders.\n\n * Comfortable working in a fast-paced, collaborative environment with evolving priorities.\n\n\n\n\n## Qualifications\n\n### Education:\n\nMaster\u0027s Degree\n\n### Skills\n\n### Certifications:\n\n### Languages:\n\n### Years of Experience:\n\n4 - 7 Years\n\n### Work Experience:\n\n## Additional Information\n\n### \n\n### Shift:\n\nDay (Singapore)\n\n### \n\n### Travel:\n\nYes, 25% of the Time\n\n### \n\n### Relocation Eligible:\n\nNo\n\n### Referral Payment Plan:\n\nEmployee Referral (Enhanced)\n\nApplied Materials is an Equal Opportunity Employer committed to diversity in the workplace.
