Data Engineer Real-Time Trading Systems (Singapore)

A leading global trading firm is looking for a Data Engineer to join a high-calibre tech team in Singapore, working at the intersection of data, trading, and real-time decision-making.

What you’ll be doing

1. Designing and building high-performance data pipelines powering real-time trading decisions
2. Working with complex and unconventional datasets (e.g. commodities, external/alternative data)
3. Owning the end-to-end data lifecycle – from ingestion and exploration to production
4. Partnering closely with traders to translate ideas into live signals quickly
5. Driving experimentation frameworks that allow new datasets to be tested and deployed at speed

What we’re looking for

1. Strong hands-on engineering background with Python / SQL and modern data tools
2. Experience building scalable, flexible data platforms or pipelines
3. Ability to operate in a fast-paced, high-performance environment with strong communication skills
4. Interest in markets and data-driven decision-making (financial experience is a plus, not essential)
5. Someone confident working directly with stakeholders and mentoring junior engineers
