Data Governance Lead

We are seeking a Data Governance Lead to drive enterprise-wide data governance initiatives across metadata management, data quality, privacy, and policy implementation. This role will act as a trusted advisor to stakeholders, supporting regulatory, audit, and transformation programmes while ensuring strong governance standards across data assets.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead enterprise data governance initiatives including metadata management, business glossary, data lineage, data quality, taxonomy, and ontology.
• Establish and maintain enterprise data policies, standards, and governance frameworks in line with regulatory and organisational requirements.
• Support data privacy and protection initiatives, including PDPA and management of Personally Identifiable Information (PII).
• Act as an independent advisory partner on enterprise data management requirements, DG framework assessments, and customer master data initiatives.
• Review and assure data quality and governance approaches for data migration, conversion, merger, and acquisition programmes.
• Serve as the key interface between internal project teams and external vendors to ensure compliance with data governance frameworks.
• Act as point of contact for independent validation exercises and internal audit reviews.

Requirements

• Strong experience in data governance, enterprise data management, or data strategy roles (consulting experience preferred).
• Hands-on exposure to metadata management, data quality, and enterprise data frameworks.
• Solid understanding of data privacy regulations and governance best practices.
• Ability to engage senior stakeholders and operate in an advisory or assurance capacity.
• Experience working across complex, multi-stakeholder programmes.
