Data Governance Specialist

An IT solutions consultancy is looking for an experienced Data Governance Specialist to join their team.

Your new role

• Draft, maintain, and implement data governance policies, standards, and procedures across the organisation.
• Collaborate with business units to assess practices, identify gaps, and support policy adoption.
• Establish a governance framework ensuring consistent data handling, access control, and regulatory compliance.
• Facilitate communication, training, and documentation to promote governance awareness and support internal/external audits.

What you'll need to succeed

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science/ Information Systems
• Over 3 years of experience in data governance, compliance, and information management.
• Strong grasp of governance frameworks, with familiarity with ISO/IEC 27001 and DAMA-DMBOK.
• Skilled in documentation, policy writing, and audit preparation with excellent communication abilities.
• Proven stakeholder engagement and cross-functional collaboration across diverse business units.
• Knowledge of data privacy regulations; experience with cloud platforms and fast-paced environments preferred.
