Job Description - Deal Desk

Key Responsibilities

 

 

  • Develop and execute pricing strategies to maximise profitability while maintaining market competitiveness.
  • Establish discounting frameworks, margin analysis models, and dynamic pricing structures to support strategic deal-making.
  • Partner with sales, solutioning and finance teams to optimise subscription models, multi-year contracts, and bundled service offerings.
  • Conduct in-depth pricing analytics and competitive benchmarking to inform pricing adjustments and revenue strategies.
  • Oversee the end-to-end contract lifecycle, ensuring alignment with company policies and industry regulations/practices.
  • Implement and enforce contract governance frameworks, mitigating risks while maintaining business agility.
  • Assist Head of Sales in contract negotiations, ensuring favorable terms that balance risk, revenue protection, and customer satisfaction.
  • Standardise contract templates, approval workflows, and compliance checkpoints to improve efficiency.
  • Define and implement approval workflows for complex deals, ensuring strategic alignment with corporate goals.
  • Guide sales and finance teams in structuring high-value, strategic deals, balancing commercial viability and compliance.
  • Act as the final escalation point for pricing and contract approvals, resolving bottlenecks and improving cycle times.
  • Identify inefficiencies in deal execution, pricing models, and contract approval processes, driving continuous improvements.
  • Establish best practices for pricing governance, deal structuring, and revenue recognition.
  • Implement automation and technology solutions to streamline contract management and pricing analytics.
  • Serve as a strategic advisor to senior leadership on pricing, contract governance, and revenue optimization.
  • Collaborate with sales, finance, legal, and solutioning teams to ensure seamless execution of pricing and contract strategies.
  • Lead training and enablement initiatives to ensure sales teams understand pricing frameworks and contract best practices.
  • Define key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure pricing effectiveness, deal efficiency, and contract compliance.
  • Analyse deal trends, discounting patterns, and revenue impact to inform strategic decision-making.
  • Ensure accurate documentation and reporting in CRM (Salesforce or equivalent) and contract management systems.

 

Requirements

 

 

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Business Administration, Finance, Law, or a related field
  • Proven experience in a senior pricing, contract governance, or deal strategy leadership role.
  • Strong ability to influence executive stakeholders and drive strategic pricing decisions.
  • Expertise in pricing strategy, revenue modelling, and financial impact analysis.
  • Knowledge of subscription-based pricing, multi-year contracts, and enterprise deal structures.
  • Deep understanding of contract law, risk mitigation, and compliance requirements in cybersecurity or technology industries.
  • Experience in negotiating high-value contracts and developing governance frameworks.
  • Strong data-driven approach to pricing optimization, contract efficiency, and risk assessment.
  • Ability to analyze financial and legal risks and implement strategic solutions.
