Job Responsibilities Mizuho Bank is seeking an experienced compliance professional to join the APAC Regional Compliance Chief of Staff Team to manage compliance risk for the Asia-Pacific region. The APAC Compliance Chief of Staff Office will support the APAC Chief Compliance Officer (CCO) in managing and coordinating the regional compliance programme.
Job responsibilities
Support and assist the APAC CCO and APAC Compliance Chief of Staff in the design, development, delivery and execution of best-in-class compliance framework and programme
Lead execution of compliance programme in accordance with head office policy and regional compliance standards and guidelines
Support the identification, assessment and management of key compliance risks
Participate in and support compliance transformation programme development and execution, and prepare communication and status updates to stakeholders
Support and assist the APAC CCO and Compliance Chief of Staff in the oversight of the country compliance teams and the execution of the compliance programme in APAC
Support the identification, assessment and management of key compliance risks
Build strong and effective relationships with stakeholders across different functions and countries
Provide support and guidance to country compliance teams to achieve regional best in class compliance programme
Job Requirements Knowledge, skills and experience
Bachelor's degree or equivalent
At least 15 years' experience in consulting or financial services industry focusing on the management of compliance, legal or operational risks or project management relating to these areas
Knowledge and expertise in the design and implementation of compliance programmes
Highly motivated team player
Strong analytical, communication (written and verbal) and people skills, ability to influence and collaborate with people across different cultures and backgrounds
Adaptable, resilient and passionate about making a difference
Subject matter expert, experience dealing with complex issues, forward-looking, solutions-oriented, ability to be hands-on
Prior experience in roles involving regional coverage, project management or communications strategy will be an advantage
