Job Description - Director, Global Facilities & Construction, South Asia
Ability to multitask, possessing sound leadership, mentoring and communication skills in order to prioritize projects according to urgency or internal client demands, and effectively delegate tasks to project managers and team members. Degree in a Construction, Building, Project Management, Engineering or Architecture related field. Qualification or Membership of a major Industry Professional body is desirable. Experience as a construction project management in EPCM project Ability to read and interpret specifications and drawings. Ability to integrate and work in a global multicultural team Flexibility and willingness to travel on a regular basis Able to complete projects in a timely manner. Cost and Schedule management experience. Good analytical and organizational abilities required to ensure effective management and decision making. Suitable candidates are likely to have a minimum of 15 years working experience consist of 10 years' experience in construction with minimum 5 years in managerial role as a Senior Project Manager or Director Demonstrable experience in the management of multi-disciplined semiconductor projects and/or other relevant industries is strongly preferred. Practiced in project control mechanisms and with commercial and technical risk assessments Strong communication skills, as well as the ability to visualize issues and communicate them to others. Outstanding organization, coordination and leadership skills - ability to coordinate and motivate groups of Consultants / Contractors. Ability to work collaboratively and pro-actively in a team environment. Development of relationships with internal and external customers and organizations Develop and implement project execution strategy, ensure the implementation of quality control standards and cost control on project for on time completion Report Project progress throughout the project cycle to ensure on time completion, escalating deviations that may adversely impact the project outcome. Responsible for the safe delivery of projects to budget and schedule. Establishing effective project communication plans and ensuring their execution between engineering and construction discipline. Work closely with Teams from Global and Site Facilities, Global EHS, Global Procurement, Corporate Finance as well as external industry agencies and consultants to assure coordination of design and construction with all working groups Assure the company procedures, business conduct and ethics policies are being complied with at all times Identify risks and adverse influences that can impact the outcome of a project in order to develop realistic delivery plans and ensure that goals are met. Good stakeholder management and interfacing skills Invest time in coaching and mentoring people, and help team members learn and grow Establish strong working relationship with internal customers to ensure good alignment of needs and expectations, keeping them up to date with project status and challenges.
