Director of Compliance, Singapore

Overview:
- Reporting to the Global GC, the Director of Compliance leads the Group Compliance function, supporting senior leadership across business lines. This role is crucial in ensuring that the organisation adheres to global legal and regulatory standards, manages compliance risks, and fosters a culture of integrity and ethical behaviour.
Key Responsibilities:
Regulatory Compliance:
- Ensure all business operations comply with relevant regulations and standards.
- Policy Development and Implementation:
- Design and implement compliance policies to manage risks such as bribery, corruption, competition law, and trade sanctions.
Risk Management:
- Identify, assess, and mitigate compliance risks across the organization.
Monitoring and Reporting:
- Prepare compliance reports on risk-based topics for the Audit, Risk, and Compliance Committee.
- Establish mechanisms for monitoring compliance and reporting on the effectiveness of compliance programs to senior management and the board.
Audit and Investigation:
- Lead internal audits and investigations related to compliance issues, managing senior management's expectations.
- Lead ISO certification audits.
Stakeholder Engagement:
- Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders, including regulatory bodies, to ensure compliance with legal and regulatory requirements.
- Support management, leadership and the board in compliance-related matters.
Leadership and Strategy:
- Lead the Global Group Compliance function, guiding the team to implement best practices in compliance management.
- Support strategic decision-making by providing insights and recommendations on compliance matters.
Training and Awareness:
- Develop and conduct training programs to promote a culture of compliance and ethical behavior among employees.
- Monitor training numbers and develop a training feedback process and tool.
Your Profile:
- Significant experience in designing and managing compliance programs in diverse industries.
- Proven track record of leading complex compliance investigations.
- Either a strong legal background, particularly in corporate and commercial law, or relevant certifications in audit, compliance and/or risk management.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to effectively engage with senior management and external stakeholders.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- Leadership skills to manage and develop a high-performing compliance team.
Compensation:
- Base salary of ~$17,500 - $18,500 per month
- Bonus: Competitive
