COMO Metropolitan Singapore is located in the heart of Singapore on Bideford Road. It is part of COMO Orchard, COMO Group’s newest immersive experience building which is the most complete iteration yet of the vision that brings together COMO Group’s hospitality, fashion, wellness and cuisine into one inspiring location. COMO Metropolitan Singapore’s 156 rooms and suites are spread over 11 floors with a rooftop pool bar that is exclusively for hotel guests. Job Summary

  • Responsible for meeting and exceeding the budgeted revenue of the property assigned.
  • Provide leadership in Room Sales, Event Sales, Revenue Management and Marketing Communications. Focus on developing sales and marketing strategies in the various market segments to meet revenue goals.
  • Responsible for sales and marketing personnel, market play, account management in customising segment needs. Be commercially aware of the market trends and business climate, keeping abreast of the political, economic, social, technological, environment and legal changes, that impacts the business.
  • Assume overall responsibility to develop sales and marketing opportunities and activities to drive revenue goals.

Main Tasks/Responsibilities:

Management:

  • Participation in Weekly Sales, Revenue, Weekly Forecast Meetings and ensuring that any action for the sales and marketing teams are well executed (local and global)
  • Lead a team
  • Liaise with COMO Global Sales and Marketing teams and General Sales Representatives
  • Communicate with General Manager and VP Commercial and AVP Marketing to ensure alignment and clear strategic direction

Sales and Marketing:

  • Responsible for develop of the commercial business plan for the hotel to drive the top line revenue for the hotel
  • Develop revenue and expenses budget for the hotel to maximize ROI in all sales and marketing activities
  • Understand market trends and competition to develop unique selling points and drive growth against benchmark performance
  • Capitalise on all channels and adjust channel priorities as necessary to drive business and achieve optimal mix
  • Work with the Marketing team to develop marketing activities including CRM, Digital Marketing and Social Media management for better customer acquisition and enhance customer journey
  • Work with Global Public Relation Director to develop communications in key markets and build strong reputation to acquire new and repeat business
  • Work with Global Sales Office in the key markets to drive sales leads, joint initiatives and ensure successful sales execution
  • Develop strategic focus on key account management of corporate and trade partnerships, and distribution to grow market share
  • Organize, plan and implement customer engagement activities to develop new and existing accounts through sales calls, sales trips, media event, press trip, roadshows, tradeshow participation and familiarisation trip
  • Monitor sales production and adjust sales activities, account coverage and sales priorities as necessary to achieve planned goals
  • Develop strategies for each key market segment and ensure the right business mix to maximize revenue
  • Ensure good operational knowledge to maximise utilization of hotel systems i.e. Sales Force, Property Management System etc
  • Strong leadership and proactivity in team management covering KPI goal setting, performance, administration, and database management
  • Lead and develop sales and marketing, revenue and reservations personnel, ongoing coaching, appraisals and counseling
