Job Description - Director - Private Credit

Permanent headcount, based in Singapore
Reporting to Head of APAC Private Credit
Newly created headcount

Responsibilities:

Focus on origination of new investment opportunities in Asia Pacific
Lead assessment and analysis of private credit transactions for recommendation to Investment Committee and the ongoing monitoring of portfolio
Build strong relationships with financial sponsors, promoters, corporates, family-backed businesses, advisers, management teams and origination professionals in order to best position asset management funds for transactions
Manage transaction documentation process in conjunction with the bank and external stakeholders to ensure that investments are completed in an efficient manner
Oversee investments post completion including involvement in investments showing signs of stress or distress
Help promote the APAC Private Credit capability to Sales teams, prepare generic or ad-hoc marketing documents for fundraising

Profile of ideal candidate:

Bachelor’s degree in any discipline
8-12 years of relevant work experience in private credit, leveraged finance, structured finance or similar with some exposure to mid-market lending and working alongside corporates, family-backed businesses, promoters and financial sponsors desirable
Strong level of commercial acumen and awareness, including of economic, cultural, procedural and regulatory issues of business
Good interpersonal skills, with proven ability to build strong working relationships with all stakeholders
