Documentation Control Manager, Wholesale Banking (AVP/VP)

A leading European wholesale bank, is seeking an experienced Documentation Control Manager (AVP/VP) to join its Risk team in Singapore.

Reporting to the Head of Risk, this role will act as the gatekeeper for credit and lending documentation for the Singapore business. You will be responsible for managing complex credit documentation for a mixed portfolio of Corporate and Financial Institutional clients, ensuring regulatory compliance, and mitigating risk for the bank.

This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced credit documentation professional looking to pivot their career in a risk and control role with key exposure in a risk centric environment.

Key Responsibilities

1. Draft, review, and negotiate credit agreements, bond agreements, and security/collateral documentation across various jurisdictions
2. Work in close coordination with the Legal Department, Front Office, and Credit Risk Managers to facilitate the loan application process.
3. Analyse and assess documentation-related risks within complex financing structures and products, proposing adequate risk-reducing measures.
4. Prepare documentation applications for senior decision-makers and manage internal reporting and monitoring of assigned documentation portfolios.
5. Participate in cross-divisional and inter-departmental projects aimed at improving processes and risk management frameworks.

Key Requirements

1. Degree Holder, preferably in Law or Business Administration related disciplines.
2. Minimum 5 years of relevant experience specifically in credit and bond loan documentation.
3. Deep theoretical and practical knowledge of global credit and bond documentation standards.
4. Fluent in communication and exceptional writing skills.
5. Strong interpersonal and negotiation skills.
6. Pro-active, positive mindset with the ability to work independently.
7. Thrives under pressure and is a collaborative team player.
