E & I Technician

Job Title: E & I Technician

• Perform installation, calibration, and maintenance of electrical and instrumentation systems, including sensors, transmitters, PLCs, control panels, and wiring.
  

• Troubleshoot and repair electrical and instrumentation faults to ensure minimum downtime.
  

• Conduct preventive and corrective maintenance on plant equipment and control systems.
  

• Read and interpret electrical drawings, P&IDs, and schematics to execute work effectively.
  

• Ensure all work complies with safety regulations, industry standards, and company policies.
  

• Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, test reports, and calibration certificates.
  

• Assist in commissioning new equipment and upgrading existing systems.
  

• Collaborate with engineers and supervisors to resolve technical issues and improve system reliability.
  

• Participate in shutdown, turnaround, and project activities as required.
  

• Ensure compliance with ISO, OSHA, and other relevant quality and safety standards.
  

Essential Qualifications:

• Diploma / ITI in Electrical, Electronics, or Instrumentation Engineering.
  

• Minimum 2–5 years of experience as an E & I Technician in industrial, manufacturing, or oil & gas environments.
  

• Hands-on experience with PLCs, control systems, and industrial instrumentation.
  

• Familiarity with troubleshooting techniques for electrical and instrumentation systems.
  

Skills Required:

• Strong knowledge of electrical and instrumentation equipment, wiring, and control systems.
  

• Ability to read and understand electrical and instrumentation drawings and P&IDs.
  

• Proficiency in using testing and calibration tools.
  

• Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
  

• Good communication and teamwork abilities.
  

• Knowledge of industrial safety practices and hazard identification.
