Reporting to the Asia-Pacific Managing Editor, this role involves conceptualising, researching, writing, and overseeing the production of content for HIMSS and its partners who include governments, healthcare organisations, and technology companies. As the work will largely centre on sponsored/commissioned content, the Writer will need to work closely with our partners to understand their objectives and deliver content of high quality that is informative, engaging, and impactful to the HIMSS global audience.

Essential Functions:

• Develop content for HIMSS media projects which include but are not limited to white papers, research reports, articles, and visual/video content.
• In cases of sponsored projects, to work with clients to understand their objectives and produce deliverables of high quality and in a timely manner.
• To be responsible for the entire content production process, from conceptualisation to research to writing and production.
• Cover presentations or speaking sessions and present key insights into digestible reports or articles.
• Stay abreast of the latest trends in healthcare and technology.
• Ensure content that is produced follows HIMSS' internal guidelines.
• Work with designers for content that requires artwork.
• Work with production teams for video content.
• Liaise with HIMSS colleagues to publish and distribute final content.

What you will need to be successful:

• Bachelor’s Degree in Communication, English, Social Science or equivalent work experience.
• A minimum of five (5) years of related work experience.
• Strong writing experience: demonstrated success in writing informative and well-researched content.
• Healthcare technology-focused experience will be an advantage.
