Education & Outreach Officer - Positive Work Culture

Reporting to Artistic Director/Company Manager

The Education and Outreach Officer is responsible for promoting Singapore Ballet as Singapore’s leading ballet company and a centre of excellence in ballet education. The objective is to attract and grow new audiences for Singapore Ballet through our various outreach programmes, and groom ballet students who wish to strengthen their foundation through our ballet programmes. 

As the Education and Outreach Officer, you will be entrusted with the smooth implementation, production, and publicity of all our ballet courses and outreach activities including but not limited to the following: 

Ballet Courses 

• Adult Dance Classes 
• Scholars Programme
• Ballet Associates Course
• Intensive Ballet Programme

Outreach Programmes

• Arts Education Programme
• Behind the Scenes Tour
• One@ the Ballet 

Responsibilities:

1. Work closely with the Artistic Director and Company Manager in the planning and production of the above programmes which includes: 

• Developing the schedule and programme for each of the courses.
• Scheduling pianists and teachers and liaise with teachers/ choreographers.
• Managing all administrative matters related to the courses (for e.g. registration, communications with parents or students, collection of payment)
• Manage customer enquiries for all the classes and programmes.

1. Take charge of the marketing and publicity plan, working closely with the Marketing Team to implement them: 

• Update information on website. 
• Produce collaterals and brochures.
• Develop and implement publicity plans for each programme. 

1. Provide administrative support to the Artistic Director in artistic matters such as putting up the weekly schedules, note taking of meetings with Artistic Director with internal/external parties

Ideal qualities:

1. Organised and meticulous
2. Good communication skills
3. Have a flair for marketing, if not marketing experience
4. Prior knowledge of ballet will be an advantage.

Job requirements:

1. Min Diploma holder 
2. Able to start immediately will be an advantage. 
3. Salary will commensurate with experience. Fresh graduates may apply. 

Salary: $3,000 - $4,000
