EHS Engineer (IMS & Safety Specialist) - Hiring Immediately

1. To ensure compliance to Singapore’s environmental, Occupational Health and industrial hygiene laws as well as applicable Baxter’s EHS policies (corporate requirements) and goals.  
2. To implement an effective occupational health program at the facility level. 
3. To upkeep ISO ISO 45001 & 14001 certification, oversees environmental sustainability initiative and play a supportive role as a plant safety agent in building a zero harm workplace.
4. This role is a 50% safety and 50% management system

Essential Duties

and

Responsibilities:

1. Perform gap assessment review on safety updates to ensure the site facility complies to applicable legislations / regulatory requirements as well as Baxter’s safety policies and goals
2. Provide technical expertise to stakeholders on Singapore Safety Regulations to ensure implementation is align with compliance
3. Establish mechanisms and processes to monitor and control safety programs 
4. Coordinate and deliver safety training programs
5. Conduct safety incident investigation to determine root causes to prevent recurrence by initiating actions to improve safety programs
6. Endorsing as approver for permit to work
7. Implement and coordinate safety procedures, programs and projects
8. Support and drive safety programs, regular inspections, audits, trainings to achieve safety performance targets
9. Create and sustain a high level of safety awareness, interest, and participation in safety programs
10. Involve in global audits and spearhead in driving for closure on outstanding finding
11. Prepare and submit safety reports to Baxter Internal System (i.e., Benchmark ESG System) and regulatory bodies (Ministry of Manpower, National Environment Agency, Public Utilities Board etc.)
12. Involve in EHS training design and delivery
13. To support and perform any other safety duties as assigned

Management System

1. Assist in implementation of ISO 45001 & ISO 14001 and maintenance of certifications
2. Drive and work with key stakeholders on the on gaps observed in the ISO 45001 & ISO 14001 management framework

• Degree / Diploma in Engineering / EHS / Health Sciences / Management or relevant

• Minimum 5 years of relevant working experience in safety programs delivery and integrated management system
• Ability to communicate and work closely with key stakeholders in driving safety programs
• Sound working knowledge relating to local WSH legislations and in an industrial/manufacturing environment
