EHS Senior Engineer (WSH Officer & FSM Certified, JURONG ISLAND) - Hiring Now

Company : Japanese MNC in petrochemical , chemical engineering industry  

Working Hour : 8.30am to 5.15pm (Mon - Fri) / JURONG ISLAND

Remunerations : Up to $6,400 + $300 island allowance + 13 mths Aws + 2 times V.Bonus payout + perks & permanent staff benefit

Responsibilities:

- Interpret applicable Legal, Singapore Standards, Code of Practice & other requirements and implement & provide directions for compliance. 

- Develop, maintain and periodically test out emergency response, Organize & conduct CERT audit and other emergency response relevant drills. 

- Liaise with local authorities for all EHS issues, Licence renewal and represent the RC/SICA and other relevant meetings. 

- Manage all EHS incident and non-conformance investigations and track corrective and preventive actions to closure. 

- Organize risk assessments, site inspections and industrial hygiene and environmental samplings as well as implement or direct risk reduction and control measures. 

- Conduct and organize EHS audits, trainings, meetings and promotional programs to increase employee awareness and knowledge. 

- Establishing EHS objectives & Targets and its management Programme for continual improvement. 

- Contractor management on In-house & SDM (Shutdown Maintenance) activities. 

- Should have strong awareness on Safety Case implementation as well as Mitigative Measures for Safety Critical Events (SCE) in Major Hazard Industries (MHI). 

- Establish good communication with all level and function within the organization. 

- Assist in the adhoc assignment or project assign by management. 

- Spearhead continual improvement projects for HSE. 

- Work with HSE department in organizing Annual Safety Campaign. 

- Liaise with local authorities for all EHS issues, License renewal and represent the RC/SICA/SORT and other relevant meetings

Requirements:

- Degree , Diploma in Safety, Health and Environmental Management and any related discipline 

- At least 5 years of experience handling safety responsibilities within HSE department. 

- At least 3 years of working experience in the oil or petrochemical industry, preferably experienced in Jurong Island. 

- Must be a Registered WSH Officer with MOM and Fire Safety Manager (FSM) with SCDF. 

- Well versed with Microsoft Office. 

- Experience with ISO14001/ SS651(ISO45001) management systems. 

- Knowledgeable in understanding and interpreting P&ID drawings.
