Electrical Engineer (High Voltage)

Company Overview

Our client is a well -established multinational engineering and infrastructure organization delivering complex industrial utility, energy distribution, and mission -critical facility solutions across regional and international markets. With ongoing investments in large -scale capital projects and operational excellence initiatives, the organization is expanding its engineering team and is seeking an experienced Electrical Engineer specializing in High Voltage (HV) and Medium Voltage (MV) systems.

Position Summary

The Electrical Engineer will support the design, implementation, testing, and operational reliability of electrical power distribution systems across a portfolio of technically demanding infrastructure and industrial projects.

Working closely with multidisciplinary engineering teams, the successful candidate will contribute throughout the project lifecycle, from conceptual engineering and technical reviews through commissioning and operational support, ensuring compliance with relevant engineering standards and project requirements.

Key Responsibilities

Engineering Design & Technical Support

• Support the development and review of electrical distribution system designs for industrial and infrastructure applications.
  
• Participate in electrical studies and technical assessments to ensure system reliability, safety, and performance.
  
• Review engineering drawings, technical specifications, protection philosophies, and associated project documentation.
  
• Assist in evaluating equipment selections and integration strategies for electrical systems.
  

Project Delivery & Commissioning

• Collaborate with project teams to support engineering execution throughout various project phases.
  
• Participate in testing, commissioning, and performance verification activities.
  
• Provide technical guidance during installation and system integration activities.
  
• Investigate and resolve technical issues arising during project execution and operational handover.
  

Compliance & Quality

• Ensure engineering deliverables comply with applicable international standards, regulatory requirements, and internal quality expectations.
  
• Support technical audits, inspections, and design verification processes.
  
• Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives focused on engineering quality and operational reliability.
  

Stakeholder Collaboration

• Coordinate with internal engineering disciplines, project teams, suppliers, and external stakeholders to facilitate project delivery.
  
• Support technical clarification meetings and engineering reviews.
  
• Provide mentorship and technical support to junior engineering personnel where required.
  

Requirements

Education

• Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering or a related discipline.
  

Experience

• Minimum 3 years of relevant experience in electrical engineering environments.
  
• Experience supporting industrial, infrastructure, utility, manufacturing, or capital project environments will be advantageous.
  
• Exposure to engineering design, commissioning, testing, or operational support activities is preferred.
  

Technical Competencies

• Understanding of power distribution systems and associated electrical equipment.
  
• Familiarity with electrical studies and engineering analysis methodologies.
  
• Knowledge of relevant engineering standards and best practices.
  
• Ability to interpret technical drawings, specifications, and engineering documentation.
  
• Proficiency in engineering software tools and Microsoft Office applications.
