About us

Dyson is looking for an Electronics Technician to join our Power Electronics and Energy Storage team in Singapore. The Power Electronics and Energy Storage group is a global, multidisciplinary team responsible for electronic hardware design of battery management systems, and motor drives across the Dyson product range. The team is responsible for the ownership and management of several electronics and battery labs in both the UK and SEA, with an ongoing commitment to enhancing and broadening our lab capabilities.

About the role

• Support power electronics engineers in validating electronic circuits in Dyson products with Dyson digital motor and Lithium-Ion battery pack.
• Support engineers in developing test setup to monitor and measure electrical parameters of motor drive and battery management system.
• Support Engineers in product rig/test jig setup, wiring and troubleshooting.
• Support engineers in electronic circuit board inspection, electronic circuit board soldering, and functional testing.
• Support failure investigation and generate analysis report.
• Take lab ownership, ensure safe operating environment in lab, 7S, equipment maintenance.
• Maintain electronics components inventory in lab and support purchasing new electronic components for project development.
• Support the team to improve lab capability by requesting quotation and purchasing equipment using CAPEX and OPEX.

About you

• A minimum of Diploma in Electrical/Electronic Engineering is required.
• Preferably some working experience in RDD electronics industry with good practical skills in electronics engineering.
• Good soldering skills and wiring skills.
• Basic electronics schematics reading and troubleshooting skills are required.
• Familiarity in the operation of electronic test equipment such as AC power source, data logger, Climatic chamber, digital oscilloscopes, function generators, power analyzers, etc.
• Proficiency in using Microsoft Office is required with particular emphasis on the use of Excel for recording results that can be graphically demonstrated.
• Able to work from either verbal or written brief.
