Central Engineering (CE) - Product Yield Enhancement (PYE) Engineering Team. As CE PYE Failure Analysis (FA) Engineer for Micron Technology, Inc., you will be responsible for providing full fault isolation and failure analysis support for qualifications, customer returns, new device introduction, and test failures. You will become the subject matter expert on fault isolation and physical failure analysis methods. As the CE PYE FA Engineer, you will be responsible for understanding all relevant methodologies to isolate electrical failures by working closely with Product Engineering Teams. You will also have a thorough understanding of the product architecture, process flow, and test sequence to work with Process Integration, Product, Test, and Quality Reliability Assurance Engineering groups ensuring physical defects are root-caused and classified.\n\nJob Description:\n\nResponsibilities:\n\n\u2022 Perform sophisticated electrical device characterization to determine electrical fail mechanisms.\n\n\u2022 Operate fault isolation equipment to accurately narrow down failure defect locations.\n\n\u2022 Conduct physical failure analysis to identify and classify physical defects.\n\n\u2022 Establish and hypothesize potential electrical or process fail mechanisms based on detailed electrical fail models and physical failure analysis characterization, supporting process improvement.\n\n\u2022 Collaborate closely with a diverse range of collaborators, including teams from frontend to backend and the Global Quality (GQ) department, to address and resolve defectivity issues.\n\n\u2022 Prepare and present comprehensive electrical and physical failure mechanisms on a weekly basis to drive continuous improvement.\n\n\u2022 Develop and implement new fault isolation and physical failure analysis techniques to stay ahead of industry standards.\n\n\u2022 Coordinate the maintenance and high uptime of fault isolation and physical failure analysis tools to ensure world-class operational efficiency.\n\nRequirements:\n\n\u2022 Bachelor\u0027s or equivalent experience, Master\u0027s or equivalent experience, or PhD degree in Electrical/Electronic Engineering or Material Science.\n\n\u2022 Proven experience as a great team player with outstanding analytical and problem-solving skills and a strong drive to excel.\n\n\u2022 Excellent communication skills, with the ability to present complex information effectively in large meetings.\n\n\u2022 Highly motivated individuals with a passion for innovation and excellence.\n\n\u2022 Knowledge of fault isolation equipment, techniques, and physical failure analysis is a significant advantage.\n\n\u2022 Strong understanding of NAND/DRAM/HBM devices and knowledge of Fab processes is a desirable asset.\n\n\u2022 Ability to support shift rotation as required to meet operational needs.\n\nJob Profile(s):\n\nProduct Development Engineer 2\n\nRelocation level: (TBD)\n\nBefore Getting Started \nPlease review Micron\u2019s Internal Job Application Policy on your regional PeopleNow Career Opportunities page before searching and applying for jobs.
