Engineer - Faciltiies Ultra-Pure Water and Wastewater

The Facilities UPW/WW Engineer provides engineering support to be responsible for, plan and ensure accurate operations and maintenance of the Ultra-Pure Water (UPW) and Wastewater (WW) systems. You are encouraged to fix and respond to issues and interruptions of the systems. You will also handle and implement Ultra-Pure Water and Wastewater treatment systems engineering projects including upgrades, retrofits, expansion and maintenance.

Responsibilities:

• Plan, coordinate and supervise day-to-day operations and maintenance of the Ultra-Pure Water (UPW), Wastewater Treatment Plant (WWTP), Local Scrubber Recycling system (LSR) and other water treatment systems to maintain maximum equipment uptime and reliability.
• Coordinate and liaise with contractors/vendors to implement corrective maintenance (CM) and preventive maintenance (PM) programs.
• Study, plan and implement engineering projects and engineering solutions including upgrades, retrofits, system expansion and maintenance.
• Support and enforce safety compliance and government regulations.
• Initiate, evaluate, plan, design and supervise improvement/upgrading/new projects for relevant water systems.
• Propose, plan and implement water recycling projects to reduce overall water consumption whenever possible in meeting the Long-term Sustainability goal.
• Plan, design and lead Control Automation engineering projects includes new construction, system upgrading and quality improvement.
• Attain environmental sustainability roadmap through green initiative. Improve water and waste recyclability rate by embarking to new technology breakthrough.
• Identification, evaluation, and potential implementation of advanced technology on Water systems to improve electricity, waste or water reduction to align to Micron Environment Sustainability efforts

Required Skills and Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in chemical engineering or environmental engineering 
• Minimum of 1 year of experience in ultra pure water / wastewater / reclaim water treatment 
• Basic knowledge on water treatment technology 
• Strong analytical skills, statistical process control (SPC), proficiency in Microsoft Office, excel macro, copilot, Azure, tableau. 
• Excellent communication, organizational and interpersonal skills.
• The capability to thrive in fast-paced environment, where adaptability and efficiency are essential qualities.
