ID:\n\nJR94490 Engineer, Process Control System (Evergreen)\n\nOur vision is to transform how the world uses information to enrich life for all.\n\nMicron Technology is a world leader in innovating memory and storage solutions that accelerate the transformation of information into intelligence, inspiring the world to learn, communicate and advance faster than ever.\n\nAs a Process Control System (PCS) Engineer you will be primarily responsible for starting up, developing and optimizing processes to improve product quality and reliability, working on process yield improvement, cost reduction, productivity improvement and risk management as well as resolving manufacturing line problems. You will also be required to identify, diagnose and resolve assembly process related problems by applying failure analysis, Failure Mode and Effects Analysis (FMEA), 8D or Statistical Process Control (SPC)/Fault Detection \u0026 Classification (FDC) methodology. Additional responsibilities include coordinating and carrying out process, equipment and material evaluation/optimization to implement changes at process step, leading and participating in yield improvement and cost reduction activities, handling new process baseline qualifications and managing, auditing and liaising with material suppliers to achieve quality, cost and risk management objectives.\n\nJob Responsibilities:\n\n * Integrates AI-assisted tools and insights into daily work to improve efficiency, quality, or effectiveness, exercising sound judgment and complying with organizational standards and legal requirements.\n\n * Contributes to a culture of continuous improvement by identifying, testing, and sharing AI-enabled enhancements within one\u2019s scope of work.\n\n\n\n\nAs PCS Engineer we will be responsible to develop smart manufacturing solutions towards the Industry 4.0 standard. We will gain exposure and knowledge in many innovative areas including Machine Learning, Advanced Control Solutions, Industrial Internet of Things (IIOT) and Deep Learning. As a PDE PCS Engineer, we will have the opportunity to develop a complete solution that starts with requirements gathering, data analysis and modeling with big data platform, followed by system development and integration; and then network wide implementation. The work we do directly affects the bottom line of the entire company by providing scrap/excursion control, Statistical Process Control (SPC), Advanced Process Control (APC or Run-to-Run), Fault Detection and Classification (FDC), and overall enhanced process capability. We will meet regularly and team with Process areas to understand their tools, processes, and challenges and work with them to create process control models, strategies, and other methods for ensuring quality output. \n\n * We develop, implement and improve smart control solutions for optimum manufacturing performance.\n\n * We provide technical advice and support for process control implementation \n\n * We conduct intensive data analysis and modeling to identify sources of variation in the process and translate it into control solutions.\n\n * We support PDE Key Equipment Group (KEG) team in Classification, Characterization and Categorization and define Data Collection Requirements, Perform Integration and Setup Data Collection in Enterprise Equipment Engineering (E3) Environment.\n\n * We define Analysis and setup Requirements and Setup Limits and Out of Control Action Plan (OCAP) and engage in periodic review with PCS team and network on Best Known Material (BKM) practices.\n\n * We develop and deliver training on control systems and related topics.\n\n\n\n\n# Job Requirements, Qualifications/Experience \n\n * Strong analytical, logical, and critical thinking skills \n\n * Effective communicator, able to collaborate across all levels \n\n * Growth mindset with a passion for continuous learning \n\n * Internship or experience in the semiconductor industry is a plus \n\n * Demonstrated leadership and a track record of impact are highly desirable \n\n * Interest in and knowledge of the semiconductor industry and Micron is preferred \n\n * Ability to apply baseline digital fluency and role\u2011appropriate AI literacy to use AI\u2011enabled tools responsibly and effectively for research, analysis, content creation, problem\u2011solving, operational tasks, and achieving business outcomes.\n\n * Fundamental understanding and knowledge in semiconductor manufacturing and related advanced process control.\n\n * PhD, Masters/Bachelor\u2019s Degree in Engineering/Computer Science/Statistics/ Mathematics/Physics\n\n * Familiar and knowledgeable in various sensors applications for Industrial Internet of Things (IIOT) preferred\n\n * Passion for Programming and Data Analysis\n\n * Familiar with Machine Learning and Data Science Analytical knowledge and skills\n\n * Preferred familiar and hands on experience in Python/R/SQL/Hadoop eco-system and/or in the development of web-based applications\n\n * Excellent Project management skills.\n\n * Ambitious and ability to multi-task and balance dynamic priorities.\n\n * Good interpersonal and communication skills and a good teammate.\n\n * Ability to participate in a multi-functional team environment.\n\n * Willing and capable of international travel, as needed, to accomplish your objectives.\n\n * Embody Micron\u2019s core values:\n\n * People \u2013 Respect, develop, and empower others\n\n * Innovation \u2013 Drive continuous improvement and breakthrough thinking\n\n * Tenacity \u2013 Show grit and determination\n\n * Collaboration \u2013 Build trust and foster teamwork\n\n * Customer Focus \u2013 Deliver excellence and value\n\n\n\n\nInclusion \u0026 Accessibility Statement\n\nMicron is committed to fair, inclusive, and merit\u2011based hiring.
