Engineering Manager

Responsibilities:

• Work with Project Manager and project team to develop and agree the engineering schedule for assigned projects, in line with the principles of AWP (Advanced Work Packaging)
• Oversee daily operational aspects of engineering on assigned projects, identify resources needed, and assign individual responsibilities so as to ensure timely engineering completion and adherence to agreed schedule requirements for ongoing projects as well as tender estimation (e.g.: BOQ preparation) for the estimation team.
• Coordinate and facilitate engagement reviews with project team and client, as required, and ensure quality assurance requirements are met
• Drive completion of engineering deliverables prepared by the engineering team in line with the agreed schedule
• Review engineering progress and report spent and earnt hours on a weekly basis
• Continuously monitor project risks and opportunities and escalate any issues, concerns or alternatives to superiors
• Identify business development and “add-on” sales opportunities as they relate to a specific project so as to enhance project revenue
• Hold regular status meetings with project team and clients as well as communicate relevant project information to superiors in order to ensure smooth information flow
• Lead, train and coach the team so as to improve their competency and meet business objectives

Requirements:

• Degree in Engineering or equivalent
• Minimum of 10 years of relevant experience in the oil & gas industry, with a specialized focus on tankage and pressure vessels.
• Out of the 10 years, at least 5 years should involve holding a managerial or leadership role, overseeing operations, teams, and projects in this domain.
• Preferably registered with Professional Engineers Board Singapore (PEB) and/or other National Engineering Institution.
