Epidemiologist (Novena/Public Health) (ID: 549417) - Career Growth Potential

Our Client from the healthcare industry is looking for Public Health enthusiast to join the team in the Occupational Medicine team to support in areas of epidemiological services.

• Design, review and maintain the hospital disease surveillance and databases
• Analyse the relevant health data and produce timely communicable and non-communicable disease surveillance reports to aid decision-making of hospital policies
• Lead and drive epidemiology research in the areas of emerging infectious disease, non-communicable diseases and public health services to improve patient care and enhance infection and disease preventions
• Lead the public health programmes of the hospital e.g. preventive health efforts such as smoking cessation, exercise, regular vaccinations, etc
• Lead the contact tracing team to undertake the infectious disease incident investigations, contact tracing and outbreak management in hospital and communities
• Design, conduct and analyse the questionnaires or surveys, contact tracing and data collection or handling
• Provide sound statistical knowledge for appropriate epidemiological analysis of data
• Contribute to the teaching programmes of the department or hospital
• Contribute to and write scientific reports and articles
• Carry out any other duties as may reasonably be required by the Head of Department.

Job Requirements

• Bachelor’s Degree in Health Sciences, Data Science or healthcare related field. Applicant with Master’s Degree in Public Health, Epidemiology or equivalent will be advantageous.
• Proficient in Microsoft Excel, Access and one or more statistical software packages (e.g. SPSS, STATA or SAS)
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills with good publication records in journal
