As a Qualcomm Hardware Engineer, you will plan, design, optimize, verify, and test electronic systems, bring-up yield, circuits, mechanical systems, Digital/Analog/RF/optical systems, equipment and packaging, test systems, FPGA, and/or DSP systems that launch cutting-edge, world class products. Qualcomm Hardware Engineers collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop solutions and meet performance requirements.\n\nMinimum Qualifications:\n\n\u2022 Bachelor\u0027s degree in Computer Science, Electrical/Electronics Engineering, Engineering, or related field.\n\nJob Responsibilities\n\n * Drive/contribute in cost reduction, weed out unwarranted expenses/wastages and improve equipment performance.\n * Drive/contribute in equipment fault investigations and continuous improvement programs to resolve chronic equipment issues, and institute permanent resolutions to assure product quality and enhance process robustness.\n * Enforce on equipment maintenance controls and execution to conform to work instructions and procedures. Apply hands-on and with deep involvement at work.\n * Guide and train technicians in equipment problem solving and analysis to build up their technical competencies and achieve self-sustenance.\n * Provide effective equipment trainings to the technicians to build up their technical and skill competencies.\n * Ensure non-conformance is dealt with in a proper and effective manner.\n * Take accountability of work and possesses strong sense of responsibility and team work.\n * Manage and control spare parts availability and costs.\n * Manage vendor services and supports and ensuring compliance with factory protocol.\n * Establish, review and perform regular update of PM procedures, Risks Assessments and Troubleshooting guidelines.\n * Create technical specification for new and transferred equipment. \n * Execute the equipment move-in, installation, set up and buy-off, meeting set timelines.\n * Compliance with CSR, EHS, QM, ESD, 5S standard and cleanroom protocol.\n\n\n\nEducation/Experience Requirements\n\n * Minimum Bachelor\u2019s degree in Electronic or Electrical Engineering or equivalent.\n * Knowledge in semiconductor process technology.\n * Candidates with experience in electroplating are preferred.\n * Possess strong technical competencies in his field of study.\n * Good knowledge of statistical and quality tools.\n * Able to work under pressure and with strong commitment at work.\n * Experience with computer systems and proficient with software applications such as MS Power Point, Excel and Word.\n\n\n\nQualcomm is an equal opportunity employer.
