Job Responsibilities:
- Achieve sales targets and expand business through proactive sales efforts in catering and event sales.
- Respond to sales inquiries (including Travel Agent booking reservations) promptly, actively sell catering products and venue spaces to new and existing clients, and manage client accounts for revenue growth.
- Work closely with Banquet Operations Team, Kitchen Team, and other departments to ensure high standards in catering and event delivery.
- Efficiently handle client contracts, maintain accurate client databases, process orders, and ensure timely billing for events.
- Supervise event planning and delivery to consistently maintain high standards, ensuring positive guest feedback.
- Prepare weekly forecasts of catering orders, maintain data for management reports, and contribute to business operations through collaborative discussions and related projects.
- Ensure high-quality event delivery by collaborating with operational staff, soliciting and ensuring positive guest feedback.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree or Diploma in Sales & Marketing, Hotel Management, Hospitality, or related field.
- Prior experience in catering and event sales preferred.
- Fluent in English.
- Minimum 3 years of experience with event sales, planning, and execution of mid- to large-scale physical/hybrid events, including weddings, corporate and school events.
- Proactive, motivated, and self-driven in a fast-moving environment.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Strong interpersonal skills and able to engage professionally with business partners and clients.
- Strong business acumen with the ability to curate event experiences by packaging events and relevant products together.
- Detail-oriented and committed to delivery.
- Ability to troubleshoot and resolve issues.
- Willingness to work on weekends or odd hours (compensated with off-in-lieu).
- Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint.
