NIE invites applicants for an Executive position in the Office of Teacher Education and Undergraduate Programmes (TEUP). This is a 2-year contract position.

Responsibilities:

The Executive will support the Manager, Programme Administration & Management, in the planning and management of initial teacher preparation programmes at the Office of Teacher Education and Undergraduate Programmes (TEUP). The position facilitates and supports the programme administration of Undergraduates programmes, ensuring the smooth running of the programmes. The job scope will include the following:

  • Respond to email enquiries in a professional and timely manner.

  • Plan and manage timetabling activities, including liaising with internal stakeholders and doing course allocation.

  • Configure and update programme structures across various systems.

  • Provide administrative support to the Assistant Dean/Associate Dean on programme-related matters.

  • Update and revise programme handbooks as required.

  • Prepare academic plans for students.

  • Support the management of undergraduate courses.

  • Provide secretarial support for student consultative meetings, including scheduling and minute-taking.

  • Perform other duties as required by the Manager, Programme Administration & Management.

Requirements:

  • A Polytechnic Diploma or equivalent qualification. Fresh graduates are welcome to apply.

  • Relevant experience in student support and/or programme administration, preferably within a tertiary education environment is advantageous.

  • Strong administrative and organisational skills, with keen attention to detail.

  • Highly motivated, resourceful, and able to work both independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.

  • Good interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills.

  • Proficiency in the Microsoft 365 suite; comfortable to employ digital tools and experience in database management systems is an advantage.
