Key Roles and Responsibilities
- Set up new methods as needed.
- Oversee technical development and equipment evaluation.
- Provides training to laboratory analyst, new hires and interns.
- Engage in intra-laboratory assessment, proficiency test programme, internal audit, external audit, and SAC Singlas audit.
- Perform calibration and maintenance of laboratory equipment.
- Establish and maintain quality system in compliance with ISO 17025 requirement.
- Maintain laboratory housekeeping and ensure it is in audit-ready state at all time
- Prepare materials / samples and conduct analyses according to procedures and test methods
- Accurately input sample results into the computer, compile test results, and prepare reports
- Identify and address issues to uphold the accuracy and precision of test methods
- Assist in managing testing projects and validations
Skills & Experience
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in a chemistry-related field.
- Proficiency in using GCMS, ICPMS, ICPOES, and IC is a advantages
- Minimum of 4 years laboratory testing experience
- Self-motivated, team-oriented, with initiative and strong communication skill.
- Ability to work well under pressure, while directing numerous projects concurrently with varying deadlines.
- Positive attitude.
- Leadership skills are a plus
