Job Description - Facilities Building Services Technician

As the Facilities Building Services Technician, you will be provide supervision and assist on the building maintenance of all the buildings and external compound areas. You will be requested to work together with the engineer or independently on area of responsibilities which include the cafeteria services, janitorial services, general building maintenance program, recycling program, landscape, pest control, sanitary, office & kitchen equipment maintenance, refurbishment/renewal renovation work, addition & alteration works and office furniture layout planning. 

 

Responsibilities and Tasks 

  • Assist in developing scope of work for the provision of provide outsourced services  
  • Assist in develop standard operating procedure and risk assessment for routine and non-routine works  
  • Support the estimate of annual budgets required for service contracts, building maintenance and minor works  
  • Support and assist in the engineer for building services project which includes civil and structural works  
  • Attend daily meeting on day-day operation issues and participate actively in resolving issues pertaining to work areas  
  • Carry out FMS work tasks assigned and close the PM/CM work order in a timely manner.  
  • Provide guidance and supervision to in-house contractors and service contract providers. 
  • Ensure and maintain a high level of safety standards on all the works supervised to meet company goal in safety performance  
  • Work closely with in-house contractors and service contract providers to meet the performance metric established  
  • All team members are required to complete their learning items within the stipulated time frame  
  • For business process and/or QMS component that one is responsible or accountable for:  
    a) ensuring the QMS/business process that is effective and conforms to requirements  
    b) ensuring that the processes are delivering their intended outputs  
    c) reporting on QMS/business process performance and opportunities for improvement to management  
    d) ensuring the promotion of internal and external customer focus throughout the organization  
    e) ensuring the maintenance of the integrity of the QMS/ business process when changes are planned and implemented.  
    f) ensuring customer requirements are met. 

Requirements:

  • A team player who can help create a high trust environment while working with team members and contractors 
  • Hand-on in providing fast response for corrective maintenance in building services 
  • Good communication skill and writing in English 
  • Basic computer skill including MS Office and Outlook 
  • Knowledge of basic Autocad is preferred
