Job Purpose:
The Facilities Manager is responsible for overseeing the maintenance and security of the physical facilities of the building (food factory and main office).
The Manager works closely with various departments to ensure that the
facilities meet operational needs, regulatory requirements, and safety standards.
Responsibilities:
Renovations, Maintenance, and Repairs
- Supervise and coordinate the renovation, maintenance and repair activities for the building which includes but not limited to physical assets, electrical systems, plumbing, and other equipment
- Ensure that maintenance schedules are adhered to and that corrective actions are taken
Safety and Security
- Develop and implement safety and security measure and emergency response plans to create a safe working environment
- Conduct regular safety checks and audits
Sustainability and Environmental Initiatives
- Develop and implement sustainable practices to reduce the building’s environmental impact, including energy saving efforts, waste reduction, and green building certifications
Vendor Management
- Manage relationships with contractors and vendors to ensure quality and cost savings
Technology Integration and Enhancement
- Oversee the implementation of new project and maintenance of existing systems, such as card access systems
- Develop and implement plans to ensure business continuity
Stakeholder Communication
- Establish effective communication with stakeholders, and other departments to address concerns, provide updates, and gather feedback for effective problem solving
Budgeting
- Assist in the development and management of the facilities budget
- Identify cost-saving opportunities and derive strategies to ensure cost effectiveness
Qualifications:
- Diploma in a related field or relevant professional certification
- Candidates with Water Efficiency Manager and Site Main Controller certifications will have an added advantage
- 5 years of relevant work experience
- Knowledge of relevant regulations, codes, and industry best practices
