Failure Analysis and Reliability engineer

Key Responsibilities\n\nFailure Analysis\n\n * Support and perform Analysis / Reliability jobs requested by stakeholders for qualification / evaluation / process reject / RMAs; and provide the results to the making of final reports.\n * Advise problem-solving team or cross-functional teams on appropriate analysis techniques to employ in order to establish an understanding of the cause/failure mechanism. \n * Provide machine readiness and perform buyoff for new tools and capacity ramp-up.\n * Develop new analysis capabilities/techniques to enhance detection capability or productivity or optimize recipes.\n * Drive improvement activities such as robustness and cycle time improvement as well as cost reduction activities.\n * Conduct FA staff training on FA techniques and procedures.\n * Maintain FA tools and lab environment to meet the 5S and safety requirement.\n * Support audits and follow up all the action items captured by auditors.\n * Assist Finance and sale team to generate FA service quotations for customer FA requirements.\n * Work with IT team to setup system for submissions of new FA request and report uploading.\n * Other ad-hoc activities assigned by the reporting manager.\n\n\n\nReliability Test\n\n * Schedule and Support Reliability Test Request requested by stakeholders.\n * Provide machine readiness and perform buyoff for new Reliability tools and capacity ramp-up.\n * Establish recipes for reliability tools and procedures for various reliability test and work with vendors for proper jig/carrier designs if required.\n * Conduct staff training on Reliability tools and test procedures.\n * Maintain Reliability tools and lab environment to meet the 5S and safety requirement.\n * Support internal and external audit and follow up all the action items captured by auditors.\n * Assist Finance and sale team to generate reliability service quotations for external request if any.\n * Work with IT team to setup system for submissions of new Reliability Test request and report uploading.\n * Other ad-hoc activities assigned by the reporting manager.\n\n\n\nRequirement\n\n * Degree in Material/Electrical/Electronic/Mechanical Engineering or equivalent.\n * Minimum 3 years\u2019 Reliability Test and FA experience in the semiconductor/photonic industry.\n * Have a good understanding and Knowledge of Reliability Environmental Stress Test Requirement, including HTHH, TC, UV \u0026 LT test.\n * Have a good understanding and application of FA techniques such as cross-section, ion-mill, CSAM, EDX, FTIR, FIB etc.\n * Have a good understanding and application of Material characterisation procedures such as including Bend, Abrasion \u0026 Adhesion test.\n * Knowledge of materials physics \u0026 able to associate the relevance of REL \u0026 FA test.\n * Strong leadership and communication skills.\n * Excellent interpersonal skills and team approach to problem-solving.\n * Self-directed and able to meet commitments.\n\n\n\n## Qualifications\n\n### Education:\n\nBachelor\u0027s Degree\n\n### Skills\n\n### Certifications:\n\n### Languages:\n\n### Years of Experience:\n\n4 - 7 Years\n\n### Work Experience:\n\n## Additional Information\n\n### \n\n### Shift:\n\nDay (Singapore)\n\n### \n\n### Travel:\n\nYes, 10% of the Time\n\n### \n\n### Relocation Eligible:\n\nNo\n\n### Referral Payment Plan:\n\nEmployee Referral (Standard)\n\nApplied Materials is an Equal Opportunity Employer committed to diversity in the workplace.
