Fertilizer Trader - China/Australia/Central America Markets

We are seeking a commercially driven Fertilizer Trader to manage and grow a bulk fertilizer trading portfolio. The role focuses on managing inventory positions, driving sales, optimizing margins, and building strong regional trade flows.

• Manage stock positions and execute sale strategies to optimize margins and inventory turnover
• Drive physical trading of bulk fertilizers (e.g. urea, ammonia, phosphates, potash) across assigned regions
• Develop and maintain relationships with producers, distributors, and end-users
• Identify arbitrage opportunities based on regional supply-demand dynamics
• Negotiate contracts including pricing, logistics, and payment terms
• Work closely with operations and logistics teams to ensure smooth delivery and stock management
• Monitor market trends, pricing benchmarks, and competitor activity
• Expand customer base and develop new downstream outlets for product placement

• 5-10 years of experience in fertilizer or bulk commodities trading
• Proven experience in stock & sale (inventory-led trading)
• Strong understanding of physical trading, supply chain, and logistics
• Established network within fertilizer markets in the relevant region
• Strong commercial acumen and negotiation skills
• Ability to manage price risk and inventory exposure

• Experience across emerging markets (Asia, Australia, or Latin America)
• Entrepreneurial mindset with ability to build and scale trading books
• Knowledge of global fertilizer flows and market cycles
