We drive innovation to ensure our cutting-edge solutions are helping to solve the biggest challenges in the semiconductor industry. \n\n \n\n## The impact you\u2019ll make\n\nAt Lam, as a Field Process Engineer you are a customer-focused expert on our equipment, pushing the boundaries to meet customer needs. You play a vital role in supporting the customer in installations, training, and identifying design improvements with product groups. Your portfolio includes providing on-site support at customer sites which include being familiar with customer wafer fabrication processing flow and techniques, addressing potential integration challenges with systems which impact or are being impacted earlier or later in the process flow. This includes Design of Experiment (DOE), process evaluation and documentation of process outputs relating to hardware installations, medications / upgrades to existing systems.\n\n## What you\u2019ll do\n\n * Work closely with Account team and customers to understand customer technology roadmaps, process flow, inflection points, requirements and business issues / challenges. Identify areas where Lam is able to value-add.\n * Work with Account team and customers to execute to penetration and defense strategy, including coordinating with Global Product Group on product demonstration\n * Perform startup of \u201ccapacity add\u201d Lam systems i.e. match results to existing systems and applications\n * Design and complete simple DOE evaluations to characterize process window for new installations or Lam recommended field hardware modifications / upgrades\n * Conduct experiments and tests, collect and analyze data and generate reports for both internal and external distribution\n * Develop new processes to new and/or existing customer applications\n * Professionally represent the company to the customer. Utilize knowledge of company\u2019s product lines and services to keep existing / potential customers informed when new/additional needs are identified\n * Develop good customer relations during start-up and trouble-shooting\n * Maintain company\u2019s assigned equipment (computer, tool kit, diagnostic test equipment, spare parts etc) in good working condition, secure and accounted for\n * Ensure safe working condition at work site\n * Any other duties as assigned by the Immediate Supervisor\n\n\n\n## Who we\u2019re looking for\n\nMinimum Qualifications:\n\n * Masters of Science in Chemistry, Physics, Material Science, or related field; or Bachelors of Science with 3+ years of relevant work experience.\n * This is a graduate eligible role.\n * Good communication and interpersonal relations skill\n * Able to actively engage customers on technical solutions\n * Able to work in Fab environment and perform standby duties\n * Must be able to wear personal protective clothing which comprises of air respirator equipment, clean room garments and safety shoes\n * Willing to support short term, overseas assignment\n\n\n\n## Preferred qualifications\n\n * In-depth understanding of Statistical Process Control (SPC) and/or Design of Experiments (DOE).\n * Foundational analytical, problem solving, and decision-making skills.\n\n\n\n## Our commitment\n\n \n\nWe believe it is important for every person to feel valued, included, and empowered to achieve their full potential.
