Finance Associate

Our client is a Financial markets investment firm, who operate across multiple asset classes in many major international markets. They are seeking a Finance Associate to join their growing team.

Some of the key responsibilities include:

1. Execute month-end and year-end closing activities, including preparing and reviewing journal entries, accruals, accounts payable, account reconciliations, bank transactions, and financial statements.
2. Maintain accurate financial records, documentation, and standard operating procedures while identifying and implementing process automation and continuous improvement initiatives.
3. Coordinate with banks, auditors, tax agents, government authorities, and external service providers to support audits, tax filings, and statutory compliance.
4. Monitor cash flow and bank balances, prepare management reports, and ensure sufficient funding to support day-to-day operational requirements.

To be eligible for this role you will require:

1. Bachelor's degree in Accountancy with minimum 2 years of experience in an audit firm and/or in-house finance function.
2. Strong knowledge of financial reporting standards, regulatory compliance, GST, corporate tax, and proficiency in Microsoft Excel for accounting and data analysis.
3. Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills, with strong attention to detail, integrity, and the ability to perform effectively under pressure.
4. Familiarity with Python, SQL, and financial markets is an added advantage.
