The French Chamber of Commerce in Singapore is recruiting a Financial Business partner of the Commercial function in the relevant scope: Business analysis and Commercial Controlling of the Nutrition and BioIndustry Greater Asia Business Unit.
This role will play a key part in business analysis, commercial controlling, and strategic decision -making to drive performance and profitability in a dynamic and fast -moving market.
Key duties :
• Monitor the commercial performance: volumes/prices/mix/margin, by sales area, market segment, product family, key account; orders taking, sales delivery, sales funnel filling …Collect data, assess performance vs. LY and Budget, explain variances and raise alert in a proactive manner
• Participate actively in setting the selling prices and subsequent update (flexible pricing strategy in a very fast -moving market highly exposed to the evolution of cereals and energy costs). Be instrumental in the elaboration of the formula of the Indexed Prices applicable to some Global Accounts
• Provide all data necessary to support the Sales Team during the contracting season (October to January): VC evolution and pass -through, sales orders evolution… Prepare the weekly Sales meetings (i.e: Landing 2024, Recovery 2025…)
• Be involved and challenge the monthly Volumes Forecast process (unconstrained plan of the SIOP) prepared jointly by Sales and Demand Planning team
• Liaise with Operations Controlling to understand /challenge the evolution of the Variables Costs, Industrial Fixed Costs, and Industrial Depreciation
• Prepare and participate in the Business Reviews: every month for BU. Collect and organize data, elaborate the qualitative comments, and present them together with the Head of BU to the representatives of the Group Executive Office
• Elaborate the monthly forecast of the Gross Margins of the BU
• Follow -up of overheads and SG&A
• Active participation to the elaboration of the Budget (a yearly process) and Mid Term Plan (every 2/3 years): data and narrative
• Close relationship with Treasury for cash monitoring: DSO, >30 days late payments…
