The Executive (Finance) reports to the Head of Corporate Service and oversees daily cash flow management. This role involves managing various accounting tasks, including bank reconciliations, accounts payable & receivables & automation of processes.
Key Activities/ Responsibilities
- Perform comprehensive accounting tasks focusing on precision and strict adherence to financial protocols.
- Regularly update and meticulously manage donation records and receipts, ensuring meticulous organisation of financial inflows.
- Oversee accounts receivable, manage payment collections, and maintain accurate records.
- Ensure compliance with Standard Operating Procedure (SOP) requirements by depositing cash and cheques promptly.
- Maintain precise transaction records, ensuring transparent and accurate accounting documentation.
- Accurately record all transactions in the accounting system, keeping the financial database up to date.
- Prepare succinct yet detailed financial highlights and meeting presentation materials, facilitating informed decision-making.
- Collaborate closely with the Head of Corporate Service to compile detailed monthly and yearly financial reports.
- Support internal audits of financial records, coordinating audit schedules to ensure accuracy and compliance.
- Play a pivotal role in supporting the Head of Corporate Service in creating the annual budget and aligning financial plans with organisational objectives.
- Support and suggest initiatives to ensure internal control procedures align with regulatory compliance, collaborating closely with the Head of Corporate Service.
- Coordinate and prepare for the annual external audit, ensuring seamless facilitation and compliance with auditing standards.
- Oversee the operational aspects of the Donor Management System (DMS), ensuring its smooth and efficient functioning.
- Manage the upload of IPC (Institute of Public Character) records to IRAS (Inland Revenue Authority of Singapore) upon clearance from the Head of Corporate Service.
- Facilitate various administrative tasks, including managing office expenses, supporting management, and coordinating corporate events to enhance operational efficiency.
