Finance Manager (Financial Services) 8-month Fixed-term Contract

We are currently partnering with a global financial markets trading firm who are looking to hire a Finance Manager, to join their team for an 8-month contract. Partnering with the wider Control teams, the successful candidate will support the Financial Control agenda. This role is a fixed-term engagement covering maternity leave within the Singapore Finance team.

This role will be responsible for the following:

1. Own month-end close and all internal/external financial reporting and filings for relevant legal entities, ensuring accuracy, timeliness, and a clear understanding of results in the context of business operations.
2. Manage tax accounting for these entities in partnership with the Tax team, covering income tax, GST, and transfer pricing.
3. Support the Singapore entity's regulatory obligations, ensuring regulatory capital and financial reporting inputs are complete, accurate, and delivered on time.
4. Manage treasury operations, including cash and capital forecasting, non-trading FX management, and optimizing liquidity and cash returns, with strong controls throughout.

To be eligible for this role you will require:

1. Qualified accountant (Singapore Chartered Accountant or international equivalent) with a Bachelor's degree in Finance, Commerce, or Business; supplementary qualifications (CFA, Financial Instruments, Risk Management) an advantage.
2. Minimum 8 years' broad finance and accounting experience within financial institutions (banks, hedge funds, trading firms), spanning technical accounting, statutory reporting, regulatory capital, and taxation, with exposure to both advisory and implementation work.
3. Experience with CMS License regulatory requirements, ideally in a Singapore context.
4. Ideally will have working knowledge of financial products (particularly listed derivatives) and their valuation and accounting treatment.
