Your new company

A leading APAC insurance firm is looking for a new junior Financial Reporting specialist, of 3-6 years' experience, to join the team.

Your new role
Support the Financial and Regulatory Reporting function of a leading APAC reinsurance firm, including but not limited to the following activities;

Involve in month-end and quarter-end closing activities, including group reporting, regulatory reporting and statutory reporting, such as:
- Preparing and/or reviewing journal entries and management schedules
- Performing P&L and Balance Sheet reconciliations
Support and review work prepared by team members and ensure the timely submission of quarterly and annual regulatory, statutory, and tax reporting, including GST returns;
Actively collaborate with management and both internal and external stakeholders, such as auditors and regulatory authorities;
Drive continuous improvement initiatives, including process enhancements and finance automation projects;
Support other ad-hoc assignments and projects as required

What you'll need to succeed

Bachelor's Degree in Finance/Accounting and/or relevant professional qualifications.
4-5 years' relevant work experience in the (re)insurance industry.
Sound technical competencies of IFRS and of insurance accounting principles.
Strong knowledge and experience of reporting under ACRA, MAS and IRAS regulatory reporting experience in a (re)insurance company in Singapore would be advantageous.
Intermediate/ Advanced proficiency in MS Excel
Experience working with GL systems is desirable.
