The role


As a Fleet Repair Operations Manager, you’ll be at the centre of a vital service that supports the performance and availability of the Stored Operational Fleet (SOF). Your work will ensure that all repair activity is prioritised, organised and delivered effectively — keeping essential vehicles ready when they’re needed most.


 


Day-to-day, you’ll be:


 



  • Coordinating, prioritising and facilitating repair activity for the Stored Operational Fleet to ensure operational readiness.

  • Supporting the handover and takeover of vehicles, ensuring accuracy and clear communication throughout the process.

  • Managing and maintaining data within internal and external Management Information Systems (MIS).

  • Acting as a key link between internal teams and external stakeholders to ensure smooth and efficient repair activity.

  • Ensuring compliance with all contractual, legal and customer requirements across the repair workflow.


 


This is a full-time role working 37 hours per week and is based onsite at Ashchurch, near Tewkesbury. Occasional flexibility to work from home where business needs allow.


 


 


Essential experience of the Fleet Repair Operations Manager:


Understanding of vehicle receipt, storage, maintenance and issue processes within a defence‑related environment.


 


Qualifications for the Fleet Repair Operations Manager:



  • Level 2 qualification (GCSEs A*–C, Level 2 NVQ or equivalent).

  • Level 3 technical or vocational qualification (e.g., Advanced Apprenticeship, NVQ Level 3 or equivalent).


 


Security Clearance


The successful candidate must be able to achieve and maintain Security Check (SC) security clearance for this role.
