Food Technologist

Company Overview:

We are working with a leading Food company seeking a Food Technologist to join the team. If you have around 3 years of working experience in the Bakery and/or Confectionery industry, we invite you to explore this exciting opportunity.

Key Responsibilities:

• Fulfilling Sales requests pertaining to applications, innovation, technical support, site visits, issue resolution, and addressing customer complaints related to product performance.
• Carrying out pilot plant experiments and application trials, including assessments of product shelf life and sensory attributes.
• Supporting customer trials, participating in product innovation sessions, and contributing to technical workshops for the sales team, distributors, and clients as necessary.
• Analyzing application data, preparing technical reports, and creating visual representations such as graphs and charts when necessary.
• Ensuring the proper functioning of pilot plant and laboratory equipment, adhering to scheduled preventive maintenance and standard operating procedures.
• Organizing and maintaining raw materials and application samples in a well-ordered manner with clear identification for easy retrieval.
• Upholding workplace safety and cleanliness standards, and ensuring the maintenance of cleanliness and safety protocols for pilot plant equipment.
• Monitoring and replenishing laboratory consumables as needed.
• Providing monthly updates on the activities of the application lab, including project status, innovations, customer trials, technical visits, and sample distributions.
• Preparing application samples and ensuring their delivery to customers in optimal condition.

Qualifications:

• A bachelor's degree in food science, food technology, or a related field, coupled with at least three years of professional experience, preferably in confectionery and bakery applications.
• Proficiency in a specific realm of food technology, such as specialty fats, emulsifiers, starches, proteins, or stabilizers.
• Previous involvement in the production of fillings and creams for bakery applications is desirable.
• Capable of overseeing pilot plant operations and executing application trials.
