Job Description - Forward Deployed Partner

OneByZero is a Frontier Systems Integrator building agentic AI systems for leading banks, telecommunications companies, insurers, and retailers across Asia Pacific. The Role

The Forward Deployed Partner is responsible for managing strategic client accounts, ensurinsuccessful delivery outcomes, maintaining strong client relationships, and supporting account growth.This role works closely with Architects, Strategists, Engineers, and Delivery teams to ensure programmes are delivered with operational discipline, commercial accountability, and measurable client value.

The role requires a balance of delivery governance, stakeholder management, commercial awareness, and operational execution. The Forward Deployed Partner is expected to remain closely engaged with the client throughout the programme lifecycle and serve as a trusted delivery and business partner.

At OBZ, all team members are expected to use AI tools effectively in their day-to-day work. AI assistants and workflow automation tools are expected to improve delivery operations, reporting, commercial tracking, meeting preparation, and stakeholder management activities.

What You Will Do

  • Support ownership of account delivery and commercial performance for one or more client engagements.
  • Track engagement financials including gross margin, forecasting, invoicing, and collections in collaboration with Delivery and Finance teams.
  • Assist in managing Statements of Work (SOWs), change requests, milestone plans, RAID logs, delivery reporting, and project governance activities.
  • Work with delivery squads to support effort estimation, delivery planning, and execution tracking before client commitments are finalized.
  • Maintain structured programme governance processes and ensure risks, dependencies, and delivery issues are identified and escalated appropriately.
  • Build and maintain strong working relationships with client stakeholders across business and technology teams.
  • Support account growth initiatives by identifying adjacent opportunities and contributing to expansion discussions.
  • Coordinate across Forward Deployed Architects, Strategists, Engineers, and Project
  • Managers to ensure delivery alignment and execution quality.
  • Mentor junior project managers and support the development of delivery discipline, communication skills, and commercial awareness across teams.
  • Monitor client satisfaction throughout the engagement lifecycle and proactively address delivery or relationship concerns.
  • Contribute to pre-sales activities including proposal development, delivery planning, estimation reviews, and SOW preparation.
  • Contribute to the evolution and improvement of OBZ delivery methodologies and operational practices.

What We Are Looking For

  • 10+ years of experience in consulting, systems integration, enterprise technology delivery, or technology services environments.
  • Prior experience supporting account-level delivery governance and commercial management activities.
  • Experience contributing to SOW creation, change requests, delivery governance, and programme management processes.
  • Strong understanding of delivery lifecycle management including discovery, implementation, testing, deployment, and hypercare.
  • Experience working within BFSI, telecommunications, insurance, or other regulated industries.
  • Understanding of AI transformation engagements and enterprise technology delivery environments.
  • Familiarity with agentic AI concepts, AI-enabled workflows, and AWS-based transformation programmes.
  • Strong delivery governance capability including RAID management, status reporting, milestone tracking, and stakeholder communication.
  • Commercial awareness across forecasting, margin tracking, delivery effort management, and engagement operations.
  • Strong communication and stakeholder management skills across both technical and business audiences.
  • Ability to work collaboratively across multiple teams and functions in fast-paced enterprise environments.

Travel and Location

OBZ clients are based across Southeast Asia, ANZ, and Japan. This role is expected to work closely with client teams and may require travel or in-country presence depending on engagement requirements. Relocation support may be considered based on business needs.

  • Engagements contribute to long-term account growth, reusable delivery assets, and strong client references.
  • Delivery teams operate with alignment, accountability, and high execution quality.

Language

Fluency in spoken and written English is required across all markets. Strong communication skills are essential for working with client stakeholders, delivery teams, and leadership across multiple regions. Local language proficiency is considered an advantage, particularly in Japan, Vietnam, Thailand, and the Philippines.

Certifications

AWS Certified Cloud Practitioner and AWS Certified AI Practitioner certifications are preferred. Familiarity with AWS services related to AI, data modernisation, and cloud transformation is expected at a conceptual level.
