Full Stack Engineer - Associate to Senior Consultant

Build software that powers public services — from the database to the citizen's screen.

The Role

We're looking for Full Stack Engineers who want to do more than ship features — they want to ship

You'll own end-to-end delivery of systems that handle real-world complexity: case management workflows, application processing, payment integrations, document handling, and reporting pipelines that serve thousands of users daily.

This isn't a siloed role. You'll write the API, build the interface, deploy the pipeline, and monitor it in production. You'll work directly with product managers and designers to shape what gets built, not just how.

What You'll Do

Backend & APIs:

Design and maintain robust APIs, data pipelines, and system integrations that power core business operations.

Frontend & UX:

Build polished, performant interfaces using our design system — iterating rapidly based on real user feedback.

Complex Workflows:

Architect solutions for case management, lodgement systems, payment flows, accounting modules, document handling, reporting, and advanced search.

Engineering Quality:

Drive testing strategies, conduct code reviews, enforce secure coding practices, manage dependency hygiene, and build observability into everything you ship.

DevOps Ownership:

Own your features end-to-end: develop, deploy, monitor, and maintain. No handoffs. No "someone else's problem."

Technical Planning:

Contribute to sprint planning, estimation, and architectural decisions. Your input shapes the roadmap.

Cross-Functional Collaboration:

Partner closely with PMs and designers to ship user-facing features that balance velocity, usability, and long-term maintainability.

What We're Looking For

Associate Level (1–3 years)

• Solid foundation in at least one modern backend language (e.g., Python, Node.js, Java, Go) and one frontend framework (e.g., React, Vue, Angular).
• Familiarity with RESTful API design, relational databases, and version control.
• Enthusiasm for full-stack ownership and a hunger to learn DevOps, testing, and system design.
• Some exposure to cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP) or containerization (Docker, Kubernetes).

Consultant Level (3–5 years)

• Proven track record shipping production-grade full-stack applications.
• Comfortable designing scalable APIs, optimizing database queries, and building reusable frontend components.
• Experience with CI/CD pipelines, automated testing, and basic observability (logging, monitoring, alerting).
• Ability to break down ambiguous requirements into technical tasks and mentor junior engineers.

Senior Consultant (5+ years)

• Deep expertise across the stack with strong opinions on architecture, performance, and security — backed by experience.
• Led technical design for complex, multi-system workflows (payments, document processing, reporting, search).
• Strong DevOps mindset: infrastructure-as-code, automated deployments, incident response.
• Skilled at code review, technical mentorship, and driving engineering culture.
• Experience collaborating with non-technical stakeholders to align technical decisions with business outcomes.

Tech Stack (Flexible — We Hire for Fundamentals)

• Backend: Python, Node.js, FastAPI, or similar
• Frontend: React, TypeScript, modern design systems
• Data: PostgreSQL, Redis, data pipelines
• Cloud & DevOps: AWS, Docker, Kubernetes, CI/CD, observability tools
• Security: Secure coding practices, dependency management, DevSecOps
