Fund Manager Head of Legal & Compliance

A newly licensed fund manager is looking to hire a Head of Legal and Compliance.

This will be a critical role responsible for advising the business on legal and compliance matters for the fund management business and assisting in navigating the regulatory landscape.

Some of the key responsibilities will include:

1. Provide legal advisory to the business including fund formation and ongoing legal risks.
2. Lead and coordinate the establishment of Singapore fund structures, including VCC funds, sub-funds, feeder funds, master-feeder structures, SPVs, and related investment holding structures.
3. Responsible for end to end compliance matters and main point of liaison with the MAS.

To be eligible for this role you will require:

1. At least 5 years PQE in fund management, private funds, asset management, or related financial services.
2. Candidates with hybrid legal and compliance experience in the related industry will be advantageous.
3. Fluent in Chinese Mandarin as the role will require interaction with Chinese stakeholders and using it as the working language on a day to day basis.
