Job Description - Fund of Funds Investment Associate, Asset Management
A well-established investment firm is seeking a motivated Associate, Investments to join its growing team. The firm operates in private markets investing and investment product innovation, offering exposure to a broad range of private equity and venture capital strategies. This role provides an excellent opportunity for a driven professional to gain hands-on experience across portfolio monitoring, investment analysis, modelling, and product development within a dynamic investment environment.
Key Responsibilities Portfolio Monitoring
Collate, validate and analyse data relating to private equity and venture capital fund investments.
Monitor portfolio performance and key metrics, and prepare regular reports for internal stakeholders.
Financial Analysis
Perform financial analysis for new primary and secondary private equity and venture capital fund investments.
Evaluate direct co-investment opportunities, assessing business fundamentals, financial projections and expected return profiles.
Prepare investment memoranda and presentation materials for Investment Committee discussions.
Modelling & Analytics
Build and maintain financial models to evaluate private market fund returns and different investment or product structures.
Conduct scenario and sensitivity analyses to support investment decision-making.
Design and deliver portfolio analytics to provide insights into performance, risk and exposure.
Product Development
Support analysis required for new product launches, including stress testing and sensitivity analyses.
Contribute to the structuring and development of investment products in close collaboration with investment and product teams.
Ideal Candidate
Strong interest in finance, private equity and venture capital.
Proficient in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel for financial modelling and data analysis.
Prior experience or exposure to financial modelling (e.g. DCF analysis, fund cash flow modelling, scenario and sensitivity analysis).
Candidates with a background in corporate finance, including those from Big Four firms, are welcome to apply.
Familiarity with statistical programming languages (e.g. R) and/or data analytics tools (e.g. Power BI) is an advantage.
Strong analytical, quantitative and problem-solving skills, with a high level of attention to detail.
Effective written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to present complex information clearly.
Self-motivated, resourceful, and able to work both independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
Strong academic background with a Bachelor’s degree in Business, Accounting, Finance or Economics from a reputable institution.
